ABOUT ETS: The Educational Talent Search Pre-College Program provides a number of services and activities designed to encourage and assist participants in their goal to attend college. ETS provides academic, career, and financial counseling. The program encourages its participants to graduate high school and to enroll in and complete a post-secondary program.
There is NO cost for participation in any of the program-sponsored activities. Students accepted into the program are eligible for all services. Students are typically recruited in 8th or 9th grade and remain with the program until they graduate from high school and enter a post-secondary program. In-school activities are held each month for participants. The ETS staff also plans college campus tours, cultural activities, ACT prep classes, and more for the participants. A completed application must be submitted to apply for the program. Additionally, recommendations may be made by school personnel, community agencies, other youth-based agencies, or students may self-identify. How to Apply Please see your school counselor, Dianne Richards, or your academic adviser for an application. Once you have completed the application with the help of your parent(s)/guardian(s), please return it to your school counselor.
Remember, all sections of the application must be completed, and it must be signed by the student AND the parent/guardian in order for the application to be processed. |
